It’s one thing to try and set a blind price to trick someone into buying, it’s another to double down and let the deal fall through instead of revealing the price. It’s even worse because I’m rereading this know the fairy has no good excuse. The drama feels so forced when you know the only reason it exists is because a character was idiot. The hero could literally have been healed in the time it took to finish that dinner if the fairy was smart enough to be capable of weighing its options.
