Let’s say you’re a soldier. Or a farmer. Or work in a slaughterhouse. Or work for an pest exterminator. All occupations where one might easily become “used to killing”. Are you suggesting such people should naturally murder every person they have a grudge against? Killing people except enemy combatants (and even then, in compliance with rules of engagement) or self-defense is still murder even for professional “killers”. That’s why.
At this point, Ruti being able to stab someone who her blessing would have her ally with at all (and while Ares is a complete scumbag, her blessing sure likes him) would be beyond the realm of the possible. My money is on him still being alive at all due to the fact that the hero blessing still has some degree of influence on Ruti. It would make absolute sense based off everything we’ve seen. Also, Ruti is incredibly literal. She isn’t giving a threat about if Gideon was hurt more she’d have straight up killed Ares. It was a fact. Her increased freedom let her do back a certain amount of harm.

Thanks for the chapter!
I still don’t get it why people used to killing insist on sparing people that have a grudge against them.
